AMTV - Our History
 
AMTV was founded in May 1981 by Alistair Miller and is specialized in techniques and skills required to film the sport of motor rallying. The company is now the top suppliers in Britain of television programmes and news coverage in the sport.


Our clientele over the years includes:

  • Lufthansa, - we covered all their East Coast of America in flight arrival videos and various features for in - flight entertainment.
  • Steyr-Daimler-Puch, based in Graz Austria, we made their corporate depicting the Pinzgauer off road vehicle during its manufacture and all its applications for the armed forces and have made the latest version for Automotive Technik as the factory has now moved to Guildford.

Locally we produced

  • The Weldex Corporate, one the biggest cranes company in Scotland
  • The Sibbald corporate, Scotland's most successful plant training company.
  • Aquagym a very successful new innovative system of gymnasium equipment that is operated underwater.
  • Peugeot, for the previous two years we held the contract to supply all the T.V. Coverage of their Super 106 Cup Series.
  • Ford, in conjunction with AMTV supplied all the news coverage of their KA championship along with half-hour programmes in 2000.

Last year we produced twenty seven 30-minute programmes which were shown on STV, Grampian, Border and Sky Television and also supplied to The Middle East, China and Europe.

During the late eighties Alistair Miller visited Iceland on five occasions to train their State Television on the methods of Motorsport T.V. production and made two trips to Cyprus to their main channel for similar reasons.

In October 1999 we visited Turkey to meet with a local T.V. production company to advise them on techniques to apply, and demonstrate our in-car digital systems. They immediately bought three systems.

We have over twenty years experience in the broadcast and corporate business and our quality is second to none.
